Natalie Portman, the Oscar for Best Actress

natalie_portmanNatalie Portman was named best actress for her role in the Black Swan movie within the framework of the 83rd Academy Awards held Sunday night in Los Angeles.

The statuette was handed last year's winner in the category of Best Actor in a Leading Role Jeff Bridges.

She competed for this award with Annette Bening, nominated for "The Kids Are All Right", Nicole Kidman - "Rabbit Hole", Jennifer Lawrence - "Winter's Bone" and Michelle Williams - "Blue Valentine".

The King's Speech was named best movie of 2010.

The King's Speech was rewarded with three of the most important awards of the evening: Best Actor - Colin Firth, best original screenplay - David Seidler, Best Director - Tom Hooper.

"The Social Network has made a great stir and competed with The King's speech has received three statuettes: Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing and Best Soundtrack.
